Season One

Episode Eleven
Out of Mind, Out of Sight
Story by Joss Whedon
Teleplay by Ashley Gable and Thomas A. Swyden
Directed by Reyza Badiyi
Air Date: 5-19-97

Bad things are happening to the popular crowd at Sunnydale High School and the gang believes it might be a ghost.  Once they realize it's an invisible girl, that never got enough attention, they also discover that Cordelia may be next.

This was a fairly original concept for Buffy the Vampire Slayer  and is quite different from any of the regular "monsters" that we have seen in earlier episodes.  Also, the invisible girl idea is pretty creepy.  The mystery as a hole in this episode is done very well.  It's hard to leave this episode before the end and for a television show, I say that's very important.

The acting is very good as well.  Even the invisible girl is a good actress, which is rare for a guest actor on a television show.  Charisma Carpenter is fantastic in this episode and even Cordelia is humorous.

There isn't much to say for this episode, for it is very well-done.
My one complaint is the bizarre FBI agents that come and take Marcy away at the end.  A school for invisible children?  Sort of unrealistic and out of place.
I give this episode a B.
